Good evening Hallman Community!
This is Jessica Brenden, Principal of Hallman Elementary School with your weekly Hallman message.
This week, our attendance has dropped to 92.9% Tuesday is our greatest day of attendance at 93.7%. Fifth grade has the BEST attendance with 94.1%. Thank you, fifth grade families, for making school a priority! Kindergarten has the attendance rate that needs the most work–on average, a kindergarten student misses one day of school for every 10 days. Let’s see which grade level can have the highest attendance rate at the end of the year! Also this week, state testing continues. Please be sure your child is rested and well-fed. Also, we are celebrating Hallman classified staff this week. Classified staff are the people in school who help in classrooms, work in the office, clean our school, supervise students at recess, and prepare and serve food to students. They are moving fast from the minute they arrive until the minute they leave. Please take a moment to share your thanks with this extraordinary group of people who make education happen for your child. The very best way you can show appreciation is through a note that tells the staff member how they have made a difference in your child’s life. In spring, school staff are running out of energy; your positive notes will lift their spirits and give them strength to finish the school year! Thank you. Finally, please remember that Early Release is this Wednesday, May 2. Again, Early Release Wednesday is this Wednesday, May 2. Thanks for listening and have a great evening!
